â€Å"What about my family?† that is what I'm going to tell you in this passage. I will politic about my family’s traditions, its uniqueness, my immediate family, and some not so routine situations my family has encountered. All of those questions and maybe more will be answered †¦ What is one of my family’s traditions? My family has many traditions that are very unnoticeable and that is why this question is hard for me to answer. But if I had to say a family tradition for my family is to dislike your biological for some reason or another. My mother doesn’t like her father to much at all, her mother isn’t in a much different situation, and I am a soldier of the same battle. But this occurs in my biological father’s path as well his father wasn’t there for him and he wasn’t there for me but he does however take care of his other children which is his only good quality. I believe that I can break this chain if I work hard and be a good father I can start a tradition of my own with my children. What makes my family unique? This question will be easily answered by me. I believe that my family’s uniqueness lies in our independence because this is a trait that everyone in my family has one way or another. I, my sister, and my mother are not dependant upon each other. We go our separate ways and work on our on while always knowing we are there for each other if needed, but will probably never call upon each other before it is to serious. We will fight it till we are losing then call for help this is in all of my family and I doubt it will change. I believe our actions and our personas are unique in my family. Describe the members of my immediate family. I only have three members in my immediate family including me, my sister, and my mother. If I had to start anywhere I would start at my mother, Leondras, she is a strong woman that takes great pride in her children and feels that she can and will reach any goals... Organizational Development and Leadership Program Essay -- theory of ch

The journey of Gestalt consulting proved to be very insightful and enlightening. I initially worried that I would not be able to apply the Gestalt style of learning to my professional repertoire within organizational development (OD). However, the outcome was the exact opposite and Gestalt has truly been a useful OD tool acquired. What astounded me most was the chemistry and relevance to the skill that I was motivated to strengthen the most which is use of self. Concepts such as the paradoxical theory of change, cycle of experience, developing themes and polarities, and the unit of work all incorporate the use of self as a sufficient way of paying attention to and selectively sharing observations about what is happening in another person, a group, and an organization. Additionally these concepts were used to illuminate the path through resistance. According to Carlson and Sklarew (1995), â€Å"work is grounded in a whole system and multiple levels of system perspective, paradoxical theory of change, and an appreciation for the power of phenomenological experience.† (p. 3). During the class sessions we were introduced to the levels of system perspective. These include: intrapersonal, interpersonal, dyad or triad, and group level. These levels are defined by their boundaries. For example, the boundary in an interpersonal system is an individual exchanging with another individual and it is essential to note the exchange between the two. In my first case study I was able to illustrate the level of the system I observed which was an interpersonal system between me and my colleague, Angelo Martez. A boundary existed between he and I and communication was proven to be essential to make the exchange. Carlson and Sklarew (1995) also state that... ...tion itself. The most significant observation of gestalt consulting to me is that the process allows and requires both sides of the brain to be used. Observations can be intellectually made and interpreted, however those observations can be furthermore illustrated creatively to provide a visualize representation. Perhaps there can be a polarity framed in reference to my learning journey through gestalt: â€Å"I observe that through my learning I was able to combine intellect with creativity just as two irrelevant colors can combine to introduce a beautiful new color. So often people associate with others in terms of status and call them friends

A friend always believes in you even when you are going through tough times and your own sense of security and confidence has been torn apart. He is your best and worst critic and he shows you a path to a higher self by being there in times of crisis even when others have deserted you out of their selfish motives.Ivan sat alone in the playground feeling low. He had failed the exam and it was like a reality check that he had been evading since long. He did see it coming, but his evasive tendencies had stretched him too far this time. He sat there remembering how David had tried to warn him about the consequences and how he had ridiculed him in front of everyone.His life was falling apart because the ‘friends’ the associated with were busy partying and had no time for him now. Tears swelled up in his eyes as he sat there in the realization of his mistakes when he felt a hand on his shoulders. David stood there looking gently at him. While he expected an expression of right eousness, there was just a benevolent smile.David sat down and shared with him how he had gone through a similar phase earlier and so he had felt a sense of responsibility in guiding him. He shared with him his experience and Ivan could see the remedial actions he needed to take now. True, it was a setback but David made him see it was just a stepping stone to a better self and that this was not the end of the world. He began to feel better and could now recognise what it meant to be a friend to someone.A friend is not one who always hangs around with you as long as his own interests match with you but one who is there to guide you even when things are not going well with you.He may not be always present by your side and may not lead you to a false sense of security but instead he is the one who will stand by you and help be a better person, even if that means being critical of your actions when required.So often people associate with others in terms of status and call them friends. But they are the first one to turn their backs in times of crisis. A friend will stand by your side then and without being judgemental will guide you to a better self.
